Trivandrum Tennis Club (TTC) is one of the finest tennis clubs in India. It has nine courts, four of which are clay courts and five are synthetic hard courts. Three of the synthetic courts are roofed and lighted. The Club’s show court, court no 1, is clay and has flood lights. The overall infrastructure is world class, and it is a matter of pride that the TTC complex has, over the years, played host to several international and national tennis events.
The Club offers a prime tennis experience in Trivandrum with high quality ambience and facilities that will enthuse every tennis player. The Club's tennis courts are open to the public except during select hours when they are reserved for the Club members. Tennis programmes offered by TTC range from recreational to competitive to advanced training for all age groups.
The club has well appointed guest rooms, gymnasium, restaurants, permit room, meeting rooms, function halls, library, lounge, lawns and round the clock service to cater to the convenience of guests. Facilities are also in place for indoor sports like Billiards & Snooker, Table Tennis, Bridge and Rummy, and Carroms.
The Public tennis coaching program for children is the pride of TTC. Courses, structured and mentored by qualified professionals, are run for beginners, intermediates and for elite high performers. The Club also runs a special "Community tennis" project for talented kids from underprivileged families who are given training and other facilities free of cost.
Various tournaments in tennis and other sports and games are held from time to time across the year in the club. The major tournaments in tennis include AITA for all age groups, South West tournaments for men and women, ITF Futures and more.
OTHER SPORTS & ACTIVITIES
The club is vibrant with sports and activities all around the year. All the major festivals and special days are celebrated with enthusiasm. The club also takes active role in social activities and contributes substantially to the society at large.
The club is managed by an Executive Committee, elected every year. The Executive Committee comprises four office bearers - President, Vice President, Hon Secretary and Hon Treasurer.
